OCBS 2021 Theme Song

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
- Revelation 7:9-10

The theme song, written & composed by Sis. Aletheia Burney, was written specifically for OCBS 2021. The lyrics powerfully reflect the bible school theme verses found in Revelation 7 and tell a story of holding fast through trials we experience while clinging to our faith and our hope of Salvation in our God and close in reflective prayer.

All bible school participants, in communities from all across the globe, are invited to participate in our theme song project, raising our voices and instruments together in song and will be shared on July 24th. Please see the information on the bottom of this page for instructions how to participate.

 Theme Song Record Project Opportunities

During various bible school events, the theme song will be shared by bible school participants. Here are some ways to participate:

Instrumental Theme Song (audio only)

Record an instrumental rendition of the theme song. The audio will be used for meditational music or back up for slideshows of photos/testimonials. Feel free to be creative and expressive, this is YOUR version. Due July 12th.

Record a vocal line or backing music to be included in the final theme song compilation video (audio & video)

For this you will need headphones (wired, not bluetooth), a device to record the video (landscape preferred) and a second device with a headphone jack to listen to the demo track. You can record the whole song or a section. If you decide to do just a section, please make sure to record a phrase before and after the section for easier editing. Due July 12th.

To record:

  1. Begin recording your video in landscape mode in a quiet place.

  2. Listen to the theme song demo through your headphones from the beginning.

  3. Sing/play along while listening to the recording track through your headphones.
